Director of High Peak Consulting, Jane Palmer has over fifteen years’ experience as a highly skilled facilitator and coach specialising in the fields of leadership, change management and communication skills. Jane is experienced in the diagnosis of organisational issues linking leadership to both employee motivation and capability and to the quality of the client experience. In addition to her facilitation and coaching experience, she is expert in the research processes of executive interviews, focus groups, surveys and change management diagnostics. She is a qualified practitioner in MBTI (steps 1 and 2), FIRO-B, Hogan Derailers and SDI, frequently using these instruments in her one to one coaching assignments. She frequently works with sales audiences to help them develop their influence and communication skills, particularly when working with senior clients.

Clients range from a broad range of industries, including retail, energy, pharmaceuticals, financial services, professional services and telecommunications.

Fluent in French and German, Jane has significant international experience. She has led group programmes across the world in English, French and German on subjects such as making executive connections, negotiation skills, presentation skills and leadership (typically covering topics such as performance management, motivation, emotional intelligence, delegation and coaching skills).

Prior to running her own business as an independent consultant, Jane worked for seven years as a Vice President and Senior Project Leader with Forum Europe’s “Customer Focused Change" practice where she was responsible for leading major change projects. Her work included working with leadership teams to define what the organisation wished to be known for with its customers. She would also define the changes required to enable the organisation to deliver that brand including the leadership and employee skills and behaviours.

In her earlier career, Jane worked as a Change Management Consultant for the NatWest Group, providing internal consultancy services to all areas of the Bank with a key client being the director of HR in the Group’s retail business.

Prior to working in the consultancy field her earlier roles at NatWest included positions in corporate banking and two years in the International Businesses Head Office managing relationships with overseas branches and subsidiaries.

Jane has a joint honours degree in French and German (with distinction in spoken French) from Nottingham University and is ACIB qualified.
Outside her commercial work she has also invested time in a scheme for secondary schools in London, providing practice interview experience and feedback for year 10 and 11 students.
